What has changed in the packaging?
The new packaging starts having a visual identity that is easier to find in the POS. The information regarding paper size and grammage is more highlighted now to improve customers’ purchase experience.
Have Chamex Multi and Chamex Super been merged as Chamex A4 75?
The Chamex Multi and Office A4 and Letter lines are merged as Chamex A4 75g/m² and Letter 75g/m². That change took place because we had the A4 and Letter formats either in the Chamex Office line, aimed at office printers, or in the Chamex Multi line, responsible for a broader range of paper formats.
Thus, both lines have been merged as Chamex 75g/m², offering the A3 and Legal 2 formats as well.
Has Chamex ECO been discontinued?
Yes, it has. We are committed to the sustainability of the planet, and, for that reason, we made the decision of having a portfolio with products made of raw materials that are 100% made of virgin fiber pulp from renewable and certified planted forests.
Is recycled paper more sustainable than white paper?
Recycled paper uses more chemicals and colorants in its manufacturing process, during the OCC preparation. In the industrial process, more power and water is spent when manufacturing recycled paper than when having the same process using 100% of virgin fibers. White paper also has better performance and final quality in printing, consuming less inputs.
Has Chamex Legal 9 been discontinued?
Yes, the Legal 9 format product was discontinued from the Chamex line. That decision was made because Chamex Legal 2 meets the users’ needs of Legal 9, once it has the following measurements: 216 x 330mm.
Are all products certified?
Chamex and Chamequinho uncoated free sheet paper lines are 100% manufactured from certified Eucalyptus forests. The papers produced at International Paper are certified by Cerflor — Brazilian System of Forest Certification — and managed by Inmetro. Additionally, they are also internationally recognized by PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) and Ecolabel Flower, recognized all over the European Union, accrediting the good environmental performance of industrialized products and services.
What are the guarantees of a certified product?
A certified product is a way to guarantee the quality and origin of the purchased product to consumers. International Paper products have an environmental management control process (ISO 14001), product quality management (ISO 9001) and Health and Safety Management System of the company (OHSAS 18001).
Is International Paper packaging recyclable?
Yes, our packaging is 100% recyclable, made of plastic, with no paper, and should be disposed of in recycling containers for plastics. International Paper is committed to the sustainability of our planet, manufacturing recyclable and biodegradable products with renewable raw materials. We make sure each phase of our supply chain — from sourcing to manufacturing, distribution, sales and recycling — is carried out safely and responsibly.

What is the difference between White Paper and Recycled Paper?
The main difference between white paper and recycled paper is in their raw material. White paper is manufactured from virgin fiber that comes from Eucalyptus planted forests. Those planted forests are sustainably managed so they can always provide Chamex papers with quality fiber. Recycled paper, for its turn, is manufactured with 50% of virgin fiber and 50% of recycled fiber. Recycled fiber is manufactured from a mix of OCCs, and part of those OCCs is collected in other paper machines as waste — the so-called pre-consumption OCCs — and the other part comes from used paper disposal — the post-consumption OCCs. Only 25 to 35% of used OCCs are post-consumption.
All the papers from Chamex line are certified, ensuring their origin and commitment to the environment and communities around the company.
